Unable to break Buster free without revealing himself, Blaster promises to return when he can. Club Con is a blind to cover their salvage operation. The Decepticons of Cybertron recently learned of this long-lost mission and, suspecting the value of the information, commanded Ratbat and the Decepticons of Earth to find that sunken treasure chest and the cassettes inside. The message craft was damaged on arrival, though, and the cassettes wound up in a pirate's treasure chest, only for that pirate ship to be sunk in the middle of the ocean. Several hundred years ago, the Autobots of Cybertron sent specially-encoded information to Earth on a pair of mini-cassettes. Blaster questions him about the Decepticons' plans, and Buster relates what he has overheard. Sneaking around, Jesse spots a human-sized door, and enters it to find Buster held prisoner inside. Returning to the beach, she gathers up a recalcitrant Blaster in a waterproof baggie and takes him back down to the airlock she saw the Seacons enter earlier. Out past the safety buoys, though, she runs into a school of Seaconss patrolling the waters, and sees them enter the mechanical construction underneath the island. At the beach, Jesse leaves Blaster to his surveillance work and goes for a swim. In the mechanical tower that sits just beneath the surface of Club Con, Ratbat is extraordinarily anxious about the success of their latest "operation", as it has been issued from High Command back on Cybertron.Īs Jesse and the disguised Blaster arrive on Club Con, they are greeted by the club's manager, Starscream. She offers to take his place on the surveillance mission, and Blaster accepts. Sparkplug is more than willing to jump at the chance to help find and free Buster, but Jesse gently reminds him that he's too old and ugly to fit in at a resort. He has a plan to sneak onto Club Con, but needs a human "owner" to carry him in. Later in Portland, Oregon, Sparkplug Witwicky and Jesse are discussing how worried they are about his missing son, Buster, when Blaster drops in on them. He summons Blaster for a mission to investigate the island. It seems clear that this is partially to have an endless supply of human shields and/or hostages to deter Autobot attacks, but Prime suspects there is more to it. ![]() Plus, die to the lack of characterization from his package bio, he may as well be the original character is a new form.Optimus Prime and his advisers are puzzled over the Decepticons' latest scheme: Ratbat and his soldiers have converted their desert island headquarters into a tourist resort for humans called Club Con, even advertising it on television. Due to his unconventional vehicle mode and gimmicks, he makes a wonderful addition to the Autobots. Repeated pressing is neccessary for the appearance of flight. Pressing the gold intakes rotates the props for a moment. It is in the reverse instructions though. The instructions neglect putting it into position. The section of the fuselage with the cockpit is made from his backpack. Oddly enough, a neccessary step is missing from the instructions.to bomber mode. It's not a difficult transform, but has some neat challenges. I'm not up on my aircraft, but it resembles something in the World War II department, right next to the war bonds and Rosie the Riveter. Highbrow turns into a twin-engine bomber. It's a neat feature to further his old school appearance. Highbrow's ankles rotate and pivot as well.Ī neat feature Highbrow has is that his helmet slides down to make use of the molded goggles. His hips rotate and pivot and his legs pivot just above the knees which bend. The plane parts that hang off his forearm can be problematic as it cam hang up on his hip guard wings or the fuselage sections that hang off his back. His neck swivels and his shoulders rotate in two directions and pivot. ![]() Highbrown has no torso/waist movement due to the nature of his transform. All in all, Highbrow is pretty well balanced and looks great.Īrticulation is pretty good, though design gets in the way of some movement. His guns, missiles, landing gear wheels, and props are molded in black. His helmet is painted brown with green down the center. Dark green plastic makes up the elbow joints and rear landing gear struts. His abdomen is painted black and his face gold. ![]() Highbrow is a healthy mix of light gray, light blue, and green. Turns out he's likely not the same character as the Headmaster of the same name, but is another old codger ready to show the new boys his tricks. I passed on the new version of the Fallen, but found Highbrow difficult to resist. The third wave of voyager class toys in the Hunt for the Decepticons line brings one retooled mold from Revenge of the Fallen and one all-new mold to the shelves.
